    Description

Designed to enhance comfort, mobility, and thermal protection in challenging work environments, the Kosto VGKF65 Flame-Resistant and Arc Flash Vest Jacket is ideal for layering or integrating with compatible rain gear. This CAT 2-rated garment offers ATPV 15 cal/cm² arc flash protection and is constructed from a lightweight, breathable blend of modacrylic, FR cotton, and antistatic fibers. High-visibility design is achieved with 4” flame-resistant reflective tape, while practical features such as large kangaroo pockets, a high collar, radio loops, and a detachable hood with reflective detailing offer versatility and convenience. Engineered for cool-weather work, the VGKF65 vest also integrates seamlessly with the VMKF60 rain jacket to create a complete 3-in-1 arc flash rainwear system.

    Key Features

Made from a 330 gsm fabric blend of 60% modacrylic, 39% flame-resistant cotton, and 1% antistatic fiber, the VGKF65 provides durable yet comfortable flame and arc flash protection. It features a front YKK zipper closure for easy wear, along with ribbed cuffs and hem to seal out cold air. The high collar and detachable hood with drawstring and reflective tape enhance weather protection and visibility, while the large kangaroo-style pockets and radio loops increase functionality. With its compliant reflective striping, the garment meets CSA Z96-22 Class 2 Level 2, ANSI 107-2020 Type O Class 1, and NFPA 70E standards, making it suitable for a wide range of industrial environments.

    Intended Use

The VGKF65 vest jacket is designed for workers in high-risk sectors such as utilities, energy, electrical maintenance, oil and gas, and construction, particularly where arc flash protection and enhanced visibility are required. It serves as an insulating mid-layer and can be worn alone or integrated with the VMKF60 rain jacket to deliver full-body protection in wet, cool-weather conditions.
