Description
The Kosto VPKF70 winter pants are designed to deliver high-performance protection in harsh industrial environments where arc-flash hazards, hydrocarbon flash fires, cold temperatures, and low-visibility working conditions converge. Built from a flame-retardant cotton canvas laminated with a waterproof and breathable membrane, these insulated pants help maintain comfort and mobility in winter conditions down to –20°C. Their rugged construction, 4" FR K-Brite reflective tape, and integrated suspenders ensure full-body coverage and reliable visibility, making them an essential lower-body layer for electrically classified work zones and outdoor winter operations.
Key Features
FR winter shell construction: 99% FR cotton canvas laminated with a waterproof/breathable membrane (5000 mm / 3000 mvp) blocks wind, moisture, and snow for reliable winter protection.
Insulated for sub-zero conditions: FR cotton lining and 200 g/m² modacrylic/polyester insulation help retain body heat in temperatures down to –20°C.
CAT 4 arc-flash protection: Delivers ATPV 40 cal/cm² performance for high-risk electrical environments.
4" FR K-Brite reflective tape: Enhances visibility in low-light or dynamic outdoor work conditions.
Reinforced heat-sealed seams: Improve weather resistance and durability in demanding field work.
Functional pocket layout: Includes four pockets—on the bib, back, and sides—for storage of tools and essential equipment.
Adjustable elastic suspenders: Provide secure fit, comfort, and full-body coverage.
Leg zippers with protective flap: Allow easy donning over work boots and layered winter garments.
Intended Use
These winter FR pants are intended for workers who require a combination of arc-flash protection, flame resistance, cold-weather insulation, and enhanced visibility during outdoor or electrically classified tasks. Designed to integrate seamlessly with the VMKF70 coat, they support safe and comfortable winter operations.
Ideal for:
Electrical utilities and power distribution
Oil & gas, petrochemical, and refinery operations
Mining, smelting, and heavy industrial processing
Outdoor construction and maintenance in winter
Emergency response and winter linework
High-risk environments requiring CAT 4 arc-flash PPE
