Vendor Performance Management Services
By constantly reviewing the strengths and weaknesses of vendor services, problem areas can be easily identified and handled at its source. Implementation of several quality control measures at every stage of the process further improves on existing processes.
SPI’s Vendor Performance Management Services are based on converting each vendor project into Function Points which facilitates accurate measurement of vendor performance at different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Vendor evaluation activities such as performance review and vendor relationship assessments are easily planned with this service.

Critical-To-Quality Metrics tracked in spiProject® provide trend analysis for metrics important to a project
SPI’s Performance Management Services include :
- Critical to Quality (CTQ) metrics are implemented at every stage of the project to meet client expected results
- SPI tracks productivity of each vendor process with its Productivity Prediction Model. This is a TVMS tool devised by SPI to rate different vendors, compare them to industry benchmarks and recommend the most suitable vendor for a particular task
- The defect density of each process is measured to capture Local Errors Detected and client detected defects to compare those to application size (Function Points)
- Detailed reports are provided to verify whether projects are on track to meet milestones. Effort and Schedule variances are calculated through these milestone tracking tools
- A root cause analysis determines the areas to target for process improvements
- Constantly monitoring resource utilization to check for leakage in work hours and balance resources when needed
- Implement joint action tasks to improve vendor work products
- Audit vendor processes at different stages
Productivity Prediction and Analysis is provided extensively as part of TVMS Performance Management Services
