ISO 9001:2000 certified quality procedures are used at SPI for increasing productivity, improving communications,
promoting teamwork, improving performance and achieving quality goals.
ISO 9001:2000 is a series of quality assurance standards published by the International Organization
for Standardization (ISO) in 1987 to provide a common worldwide set of quality system guidelines and requirements.
Many companies talk about their Quality Programs and most companies do have some form of quality control.
We at SPI, however, want to reach for the highest level of accomplishment; this being the realization of
a world recognized quality management system and the inherent strengths of this quality standard.
ACHIEVEMENTS
SPI's Quality Management System was registered as an ISO 9001:2000 standard compliant in a record time of 6 months.
spiProject® our enterprise Project management tool is given a high recognition as a key strength and Life line tool
for SPI during the compliance check surveillance audit.
Every possible business activity including how the software order is entered, the design and development process,
as well as testing, delivery etc. are investigated and measured.
The investigation is conducted by an independent outside organization. Meeting standards mean better communications,
customer service and products manufactured consistent with a world recognized quality management system.
The ISO 9001:2000 registered quality management system as recognized by the International Organization for
standards includes the following significant activities as performed by :
- A Quality Council that meets for the purpose of determining and discussing quality levels and
means for improvement.
- Formal organizational structure that includes a Quality Policy Manual,
Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions for all critical functions of the process.
- A well structured set of document specifying the Process & procedures followed in
developing the product.
- Formal training and communication meetings are held on a continuing basis.
