Atlanta-based SPI Develops Offshore IT Solution to Avert Fraudulent Returns
A large department store chain sought SPI's help to develop a company-wide return authorization system that would integrate into its mainframe Legacy POS and prevent fraudulent returns.
Utilizing an Oracle back-end that interfaced to the retailer's POS, SPI built a .NET application to reconcile unique sales receipts against store transactions. The offshore IT solution not only eliminated fraudulent returns for the department store retailer, but saved the company $3M in its first year.
