SPI Founded as a Better Way to Outsource
CEO and self proclaimed "techie" Sid Mookerji founded SPI after working as a software developer in India's outsourcing industry.
While observing offshore practices, Sid recognized the value of the onsite/offshore partnership and saw an opportunity to improve operations and the customer experience.
He knew that to run an efficient company, employees should be treated fairly and workflow should be managed through planned, stringent processes.
From those realizations, Sid founded SPI in 1994, and the newly founded outsourcing company in Atlanta began providing local enterprises with industry leading IT solutions.
In 1997, Sid established offshore operations in Mysore, India to leverage the onsite/offshore business model. Committed to developing first class facilities for employees, the company erected the first building at its Indian office park in 1999 and initiated construction on multi-amenity 'SPI City' in 2007.
SPI rivaled its structural development with business accomplishments. The company valued expanding capabilities, and in 2005, added CMMI Level 5 v 1.2 certification to its list of global distinctions and in 2007, acquired BPO giant, Comat, to increase its BPO service offering.
