SPI - Executive Team

Ms. Sophie Mookerji, President and majority shareholder of Software Paradigms International Inc has several years of experience in the IT industry. She founded SPI with Sid Mookerji in 1994.

Ms. Mookerji manages the day-to-day operations of SPI from an administrative viewpoint. She leads the corporate leadership team responsible for building the vision for SPI's growth and organizing the resources to successfully implement that vision into reality. Sophie has brought a lot of her breadth of experience and vision into making SPI a very successful organization.

Mr Mookerji has several years of corporate leadership experience in IT and Business Process Outsourcing particularly for global Retailers. He has received the Indian government's Excellence in IT Exports award twice. In 2008, he helped secure SPI's placement in the Atlanta Business Magazine's list of Top Ten Fastest-Growing Companies. He has been honored for SPI's rapid growth by USPAACC as well as by Inc Magazine several times.

Mr Mookerji holds a BE (Hons) Electrical and Electronics from BITS, Pilani, India and an MBA from Emory University's Goizueta School of Business.

John M. Cook is the Chairman of SPI US Board. Most recently, John was at the helm of Profit Recovery Group (PRG), which he founded in 1991. He guided PRG from a small enterprise with $5 million in annual revenues into an international, publicly held corporation with 2002 revenues of approximately $460 million. John was instrumental in merging the world's two largest recovery audit firms, PRG and Howard Schultz & Associates to form PRG-Schultz, the world leader in recovery auditing, with operations in more than 40 countries.

John is actively involved in the Atlanta community, serving on the board of trustees of the city's Woodruff Arts Center and on the board of directors of the High Museum of Art. He is a member of the advisory board of Emory University's Goizueta Business School, Boston based Open Learning Exchange, The Carter Center's board of councilors, and the board of directors of Atlanta-based CryoLife, Inc. He has also set up sizable charitable organizations in Bangkok, Thailand and Nepal. In honor of his commitment to furthering education, SLU's school of business was renamed the John Cook School of Business.

As SVP of Sales and Client Engagement, Jeff Meaux is responsible for building collaborative partnerships with SPI's clients and prospects. In this role, he directs the on-and-offline Sales & Marketing campaigns that fuel the organization's growth, while ensuring that solution development is tailored to individual organizations and wholly addresses clients' needs.

In 2007, Mr. Meaux joined SPI as SVP of Sales and, for two years, sealed long-term partnerships, expanded SPI's reach and generated client demand. After focusing efforts externally, Mr. Meaux transitioned to oversee client activities to ensure all developments and deliveries exceeded expectations.

Prior to SPI, Mr. Meaux was instrumental at increasing sales for international audit firm, PRG-Schultz. As VP of Client Management and Sales Strategy, he drove innovative promotion programs to up-sell the company's services. As SVP of Sales & Marketing for North America, he led an organization that retained 97% of the audit firm's U.S. clients, while he solidified over 120 new business relationships.

Before contributing to PRG's market expansion, Mr. Meaux held prominent roles at The Coca-Cola Company. As Channel Business Manager and College Market Development Manager, he drove communication, profitability and consumer strategies, while executing a plan resulting in an incremental $45 million in revenue.

Mr. Meaux began his career in various sales roles at Procter & Gamble and the Westvaco Company. He holds a bachelor's degree in Chemistry from Miami University of Ohio. He earned his MBA, along with the John Robson Most Outstanding Student Award, from Emory University's Goizueta Business School in Atlanta.

Jack Toma serves as the Chief Financial Officer of SPI with the responsibility for driving all financial activities in the organization. Jack's prior experience includes senior executive positions with a variety of high-pedigree organizations. As Vice Chairman of PRG Schultz International, Inc. he oversaw all functions related to mergers, acquisitions and divestitures, business integration, information technology, legal and administrative services. Jack co-founded PRG with John Cook in 1991 and served as Director, Executive Vice President of Administration and Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors for that organization.

Prior to PRG-Schultz, Jack served as Senior Vice President of Administration for Roy Greene Associates, one of two small audit recovery firms that were merged to establish PRG. Jack also has held positions as Operating Vice President for Caldor Stores, a division of The May Department Stores Co.; Assistant Controller with Kaufmann's Department Stores, another May division; and Controller for McCoy Inc. and the Eaton Car Repair Division of Eaton Corp.

In 2000, Jack created the Toma Family Foundation, Inc. a private foundation dedicated to providing four-year college scholarships to graduating high school students based on character, need, achievement and desire.

As Vice President of IT Operations in Mysore, Girish Karunakaran oversees global project execution for SPI's Retail clients.

Throughout his career, Girish has served as the strategic point-person on numerous accounts and driven on-time, under-budget deliveries. He advanced to his current role after almost a decade with the company and draws on over 15 years of management and leadership experience.

Girish has spent the majority of his professional career providing IT solutions to the Retail industry. To achieve success, he combines technological expertise with his knowledge of strategic business development, consulting and account management, in which he has made meaningful contributions since onset of his career.

Prior to joining SPI, Girish worked for Hinduja TMT (formerly ALIT) and other esteemed organizations. He received his bachelor's degree from Mahatma Gandhi University in Kerala, India.

When he's not working, Girish enjoys time with his family and roots for Argentina's national soccer team.

As Vice President of SPI's Financial Services organization, Jeff Deakin directs the engine that develops the world's most innovative financial service solutions.

With a bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Marketing from Utah State University, Jeff spent five years in a variety of Accounting roles with a major retailer following graduation. He then accepted an Audit Management position with PRG-Schultz International and spent 10 years leading Back Office solution implementation for the recovery audit firm.

After serving PRG in a variety of capacities, Jeff moved to London as its Director of European Audit Development. Following his time overseas, he returned to the United States as the company's VP Managing Director of the Southeast.

In 2009, Jeff joined ranks with SPI to drive its Financial Services offerings. In this role, he is committed to increasing revenues, enhancing cash flow and identifying avenues to reduce costs for the world's most recognizable retailers.

Jeff's profound expertise is rooted in experience. He has delivered results to retailers for two decades and has developed impactful services that resolve systemic errors.

Bill Blackstone has over three decades of experience in the information system industry in the Retail vertical. This background includes designing and implementing complex databases and large system for marquee retailers in the US.

Bill served in several positions including Vice President of Architecture and Senior Vice President of Applications Development for Federated Department Stores. He has also been Vice President of Development for the Profit Recovery Group International in Atlanta, a contingency auditing firm specializing in Retail customers. In recent years, as a senior executive in the SPI team, Bill has helped in designing and implementing complex software solutions for several of SPI's Retail customers.

Bill has extensive experience in methodology implementation and large project management as well as business process and information technology alignment for Retail. He also has extensive IBM mainframe software experience.

As a Consulting Partner for the Retail Industry, Des Martin's primary focus is to expand process improvements that heighten efficiencies and increase profits across the Retail value chain.

A recognized Retail expert, Des began his extensive career in the Retail Technology market in the U.K. as a software developer with NCR Corporation. After setting up NCR's IT business in Nigeria, he returned to the U.K. as a Systems Consultant for the company. While with the global organization, Des spent several highly successful years in its Sales Division before moving to the U.S. in the mid-80s to lead its European Product Marketing group for Retail.

Following his time in the U.S., Des returned to the U.K. to join Harrods Department Stores as its CIO. From there, he transitioned to be Managing Partner of Actionable Intelligence Group, a software business he founded, before re-joining NCR as its European Enterprise Systems Director, and later, its Director of Strategic Planning.

In 2001, Des transferred to NCR's Teradata Division and led its Retail Industry Global Consulting team. In 2008, he signed on to lead FYI Corp, a startup Software Company in Florida, as SVP of Business Development.

Des has a degree in Business Administration from West London College in the U.K., is a Certified Management Consultant and a Certified Teradata Professional. He is also an active member of the Atlanta's Kettering Executive Network, an accomplished folk guitarist, and in his spare time, enjoys golf, sailing and classical music.

Jack Robinson joined SPI in 2010 as Vice President, North America. In this role, Jack is focused on uncovering and resolving business needs to create longstanding and value-driven partnerships with retailers.

Jack has a long track record of helping organizations find solutions to their problems. Before joining SPI, Jack spent more than 15 years in various new business development and client service positions. Most recently, he was a Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Apex Analytix, a technology-enabled business services firm. Previously, he was a Director of New Business Development for more than 5 years with PRG-Schultz, a provider of accounts payable and procurement recovery auditing.

Jack holds a B.A. from the University of Connecticut and currently lives in the Chicago area with his wife and three children.
