SPI Launches New Branding as the Right Retail Partner

On October 26th, SPI officially unveiled its re-positioned brand, formally symbolizing a shift in the company's marketing, taking it from an IT provider for multiple industries to an organization offering technology and business processing solutions to retailers.

The refreshed brand, which includes updated corporate messaging, a retail-centric look and feel, a refreshed website and new tagline, was created to better communicate SPI's commitment to retail and the decades of rich experience it has in that industry.

"SPI elected to modify our brand because we found that clients perceived us as more of an outsourcing company or an IT provider and not as the retail experts we are," said SVP of Sales and Marketing Jeff Meaux. "While SPI has roots in IT and outsourcing, over the years we've evolved to building on that base with domain expertise. Since our doors opened, we've deliberately honed our talents in that direction."

Over the past two years, SPI has introduced retailers to two of its signature offerings - a vendor overpayment identification solution, 360° p2pSM, and Tradeflow Optimization? solutions that leverage information sharing to improve efficiency and align retailer-vendor efforts.

SPI anticipates that through its new brand, it will be better targeted to the appropriate audience, and retailers will see an obvious connection between its solutions and business.

"As the right retail partner, we're making a conscious effort to better broadcast our specialization and the value we've brought to our clients for years," said Meaux. "We want to show them that we're in this with them. That we truly understand it. That it's a partnership."
